Dataset description

The data set of management areas according to the Habitats Directive in North Rhine-Westphalia contains regional spatial data on management areas within the meaning of the INSPIRE Annex III topic “Operating Areas, Protected Areas, Regulated Areas and Reporting Units (AM)”. The data shows the demarcations of so-called action concepts that correspond to technical biotope management plans and contain a large number of proposed measures (areas) (“regulated areas”), which in turn are published as a separate dataset. The object metadata of the Measure Concepts contains all the information provided for the core data stocks for management areas (AM) or their attribute award for the theme of biodiversity. The data shows the delimitations of the management areas (measure concepts) for North Rhine-Westphalia. Special features: These are only surface geometries. The data is freely accessible. The data shall be collected as a basis for the FFH reporting obligation under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive and digitised for these purposes. The data must be made public on the Internet in North Rhine-Westphalia on the basis of § 5 of the Land Nature Protection Act.
