Dataset description

Important note: The dataset is updated daily under OpenData NRW! The map layer “Regulation replacing contract area” can be selected in the Web Map Service Landscape Information Collection (WMS LINFOS) and shows the spatial location of the FFH area areas in North Rhine-Westphalia, where the guarantee was made via contracts with landowners or user associations. The Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC aims to maintain or restore a favourable conservation status of natural habitats and wild fauna and flora of Community interest. In order to ensure this objective, the FFH sites confirmed in the Community list of the EU should be designated by the Member States as Special Area of Conservation (SAC). In North Rhine-Westphalia, the protection certificate is based on the requirements of VV-Habitatschutz, No. 3.1. and usually takes place as a nature reserve. However, in a number of areas, the guarantee is guaranteed in accordance with Section 32(4) of the BNatSchG on contracts of the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia with landowners or user associations.
