Dataset description

The data show the distribution of the concentration of radioactive noble gas radon-222 in the ground-level air at 1 m depth. Radon-222 is a colourless, odorless and tasteless radioactive noble gas. It is of natural origin and is mainly released from the ground and from building materials. In this way, it enters the free atmosphere or the interior air of buildings. (Five to ten percent of all lung cancers in the population are attributed to exposure to radon-222 and its decay products in buildings according to current research results).
