Dataset description
Determined plastic content in beach garbage monitoring on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic coast. Monitoring along the Fehmarn coast was organised by NABU and carried out with the help of volunteers. The stated plastic content is derived from the averaged plastic finds on 100 m transects during that period. Up to 4 coverages per monitoring year are carried out, with the monitoring year covering data from the beginning of December of the previous year until the end of November of that year. The collection of beach waste is carried out according to the OSPAR Beach Litter Guideline (2010).
