The route-related modal split describes the percentage distribution of all routes travelled by hamburgers on the traffic modes “Motorised Individual Transport (MIV)”, “Public Passenger Transport (ÖPV)”, “Radverkehr” and “Foot Traffic”.
The data set contains the route-related modal split for Hamburg for the year 2017 according to the household survey “Mobility in Germany (MiD) 2017” (https://www.hamburg.de/bvm/mid-hamburg). The evaluation was carried out here for the seven districts and seven urban regions. The differentiation by urban regions was carried out for the MiD investigation in order to map the spatial and socio-economic differences, and ultimately also the mobility requirements, in the city better than in a differentiation by districts.
