Natural area structure in Brandenburg — INSPIRE Download-Service (WFS-LfU-NATRAUM)

The service for the natural space division of Brandenburg consists of the natural spatial division according to Scholz (1962) and the natural spatial regions of the landscape programme. Brandenburg’s natural area structure according to Scholz contains geometry and textual designation of 76 natural space subunits in terms of geology, climate, relief, soil, hydrology, water, land use and natural vegetation. This spatial structure is primarily used for nature conservation tasks. The natural regions of the Brandenburg Landscape Programme were compiled on the basis of the publication “Die Naturraumliche Aufbau Brandenburg” (Eberhard Scholz 1962). For this purpose, the spatial boundaries were adapted to the scale of the landscape programme and the designations of the natural spaces were partially changed. The WebFeatureService (WFS) is provided in versions 1.1.0 and 2.0.0.
