This map shows in a simplified form the loose rocks and fixed rocks of the northern Upper Lusatia, which are approaching on the terrain surface, in the area between Görlitz, Löbau, Weißenberg and Niesky. Tectonic disturbances are shown in this map sheet only where they are recognizable on the earth’s surface or where they form the boundary of different rocks. Regional geologically, the area of the map sheet lies in the area of the Lusatian Anticlinal Zone and the Görlitzer Synklinorium (Görlitzer Schiefergebirge). The geological subsurface is characterised by granitoid rocks and the Lusatian grey wacken. On the back explanation.
