Dataset description

As part of the 2014 noise action plan, so-called quiet areas were designated in Bremen in accordance with the Environmental Noise Directive. The distinction is made according to the size and noise level in the categories “quiet landscape space”, “quiet urban space” and “city oasis”. The exact definition is described in the noise action plan of the municipality of Bremen dated 10.6.2014. The quiet areas must be taken into account in the context of the balancing of construction management planning and approval procedures.
