Official card 1:5 000 (AK5)

Official card 1: 5 000 (AK5) represents the interface between the land map of the Official Property Register Information System (ALKIS) and the medium-sized topographical maps from the scale of 1:25 000. It is derived from the vector data of the property map, supplemented with data from the Official Topographical Cartographic Information System (ATKIS®), and for the presentation on a scale 1: 5 000 prepared. In Lower Saxony, it is a successor product of the German Basic Card 1: 5 000 (DGK5). The presentation scale 1: 5 000 allows a largely complete and ground-scatter description of the earth’s surface in its natural manifestations and characterised by human interventions. The contents of the AK5 are the following information from ALKIS: Plot structure, buildings and their font additions (without house numbers), aggregated modes of use in the form of surface colors, font additions for roads and paths as well as for waters, topography from ALKIS and AKTIS and their labelling and political boundaries.
