surface representation of protected landscape components (GLB) The expulsion took place in accordance with § 29 of the Nature Conservation and Land-schaftspflege (Bundesnaturschutzgesetz — BNatSchG) of 29 July 2009 (BGBl. I, p. 2542) in conjunction with Section 14(3) of the Law of the Land of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on the implementation of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (Nature Protection Execution Act — NatSchAG M-V) of 23 February 2010 (GVOBl. M-V P. 66). The data are based on the work carried out between 1992 and 2017 by the Lower Nature Conservation Authorities (UNB) of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for the documentation of the protected areas of the LUNG M-V. The digitisation was usually created on the basis of maps and/or location descriptions (e.g. identification of the affected parcels) of the documentation of the protected areas of the LUNG M-V (in exceptional cases, geometries were taken over by competent authorities). The GLB’s delimitation cards presented by the competent local authorities between 1992 and 2017 have scales from 1:10,000 to 1:25,000 (different card editions). For each GLB there is a form with information on the determinations and other information (e.g. brief description, area size (GIS-technically determined and indication in legislation). The forms of the GLB can be accessed in the map portal Environment via a link (thematic query). The municipalities have been responsible for GLB since 01.03.2010. However, if and to the extent that their designation is made for the implementation of the European ecological network “Natura 2000” or for the biotope network, the UNBs are responsible. All GLBs that were declared before 1 March 2010 were/are in charge of UNBs. From the UNB you will receive binding information on the demarcation as well as on prohibitions. This shapefile does not contain a complete and final representation of all GLB, but only those communicated to the LUNG M-V by the UNB.
