Dataset description

The routing service of the BKG makes it possible to calculate the fastest and shortest route (route) between a predetermined start and destination point, including waypoints (Via-Points). In addition, blocking points and barrier areas can be used for route calculation. The routing data of the user community OpenStreetMap (OSM) serves as the data base. In addition, based on the OSM data, accessibility analyses can be calculated over a predetermined time (isochronic) or over a predetermined distance. The Openroute Service (ORS) developed by Heidelberg University serves as routing software. The routing service has worldwide coverage. Furthermore, the world-operating geocoding service Nominatim is provided, whose data is also the data of OSM.
