RV Neckar-Alb (0841) — Forestry and Forest Function Areas (8146)

General Kurzbeschreibung:Zum protection of natural goods, nature-related uses and ecological functions against other uses or land use can be identified in the regional plans Areas for Forestry and Forest Functions in the form of priority and reserved areas. In priority areas, nature-related uses and the fulfilment of ecological functions take precedence over other, especially structural uses. On the other hand, other land-significant uses or measures must be weighed in reserved areas. Because of its importance as an ecosystem, for the environment, the landscape and recreation, and because of its economic benefits, the forest must be preserved, protected and maintained in the context of natural and sustainable management. Interventions in the forest’s stock in compaction rooms and in forests with special protective and recreational functions must be limited to the inevitable. Such forest losses should be compensated as far as possible near the interventions in coordination with the concerns of nature conservation and agriculture by afforestation of suitable areas.
