General Kurzbeschreibung:Die as defined in the Baden-Württemberg regional development plan, central regional divisions in upper and middle centres with medium areas (see type of object medium areas) as well as the sub-centres and small centres defined in the regional plans should consolidate the decentralised settlement and economic structure of the country and support and coordinate the desired settlement development. As locations of metropolitan areas, upper centres are intended to ensure the provision of an interconnected area of several hundred thousand inhabitants (usually the region) with highly qualified and specialised facilities and jobs. Centre centres are to be developed as locations for a wide range of higher-value facilities and workplaces in such a way that they can meet the upscale, specialised needs.
