Ziel im Landesentwicklungsplan (LEP) zur Stärkung der Tourismusschwerpunkte Städtetourismus durch den Erhalt ihrer besonderen kulturhistorischen Sehenswürdigkeiten und ihrer kulturellen bzw. sportlichen Einrichtungen sowie durch den Ausbau von Veranstaltungsangeboten. Ziel bzw. Grundsatz im Regionalplan, die Tourismus- und Erholungsschwerpunkte für diese Funktion weiter zu entwickeln. Datenherkunft: -Planungsverband Region Chemnitz mit rechtlicher Grundlage Regionalplan Chemnitz-Erzgebirge, Fortschreibung (Stand 31.07.2008) und Regionalplan Südwestsachsen, 1.
