Schon 2009 hat die Stadt Braunschweig als eine der ersten Städte in Deutschland ein kostenfreies Solarkataster für das Stadtgebiet im Internet veröffentlicht. Inzwischen hat sich die Technik weiterentwickelt und das Braunschweiger Angebot wurde den heutigen technischen Möglichkeiten angepasst. Im Solarkataster können Sie mit Hilfe der Straßeneingabe und Hausnummernauswahl rasch Ihr Gebäude ausfindig machen. Die Einfärbung der Dachflächen zeigt Ihnen die grundsätzliche Eignung für die Photovoltaik- oder Solarthermienutzung. Der Weg von der Planung bis zur fertigen Anlage ist in den "11 Schritten zur eigenen Solaranlage" aufgeführt.
