The spaces with structural weaknesses in the respective valid demarcation — which are not implemented in the LEP — should be promoted in such a way that they can improve their competitiveness on their own initiative. Plan rates 6.3.1 to 6.3.2 (LEP) 2002 The delimitation of the spaces with structural weakness is not regulated independently in the LEP 2002, but depends on the respective binding determination of the assisted areas. In terms of content, the delimitation of the assisted areas stems from the objective of regional funding to create equivalent living and working conditions in the parts of the country.
