The approximately 17000 topographical photo sheets were created in the middle of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century on the basis of the corridor map. They served as the basis for the creation of a topographic map on a scale of 1:25000. The corridor maps printed on cardboard were supplemented by additional topographical terrain information (height information, additional paths and buildings or topographical single signs). The measured terrain information (particularly contour lines, contour lines and heights) was entered directly on site in the corridor map. Previously, on the basis of the topographical recording sheets, the elevation charts were derived, which were also used for the topographic maps. The topographical photo sheets are generally available in scale 1:5000 as georeferenced grid data in the sheet section of the corridor maps. They are also available in scale 1:2500 or 1:1000.
This historical map is available digitally with or without georeference or analog printing. The recording sheets can be delivered in print resolutions 100 L/cm (254 dpi), 200 L/cm (508 dpi) and 320 L/cm (813 dpi).
