UTM grid (UTM-EEA)

The grids were made on the recommendation of 1. European workshops on reference networks European Environment Agency in 2003 and later on the INSPIRE Directive set. The reference grids 1 km, 10 km and 100 km are located in the "Open Data Portal of European Union" available for download (https://open-data.europa.eu/de/data/). The grids 100 m, 500 m and 5 km are due to the technical requirements of the LUBW in addition, the tile names correspond to the nomenclature of European Environment Agency. Important information: — For grid overlays please note that only the superordinate nodes are location-identical! — Official EU data are available in an ETRS coordinate system with a projection (EPSG 3035) rather than all other UIS data in ETRS89 (EPSG 25832). As a result, the grids to UIS ETRS89 leaf sections (e.g. DOP) are not equal to cover and not perpendicular to each other!If you compare the coordinate system with EPSG code 25832 distortions are created. — The grids are primarily used in nature conservation for mapping on cell accuracy.
