Dataset description

With the WMS, the surveying and cadastral administration (VKV) Lower Saxony provides the official maps as grid data for the application over the Internet in the form of a web map service in version 1.1.1. It is also possible to access this data via an OGC interface with a geographical information system (GIS) available to the user with appropriate software. This allows the spatial data to be combined, e.g. with data of the user, to create own representations based on the most up-to-date spatial data basis. A separate data storage for geo-based data and the associated administrative effort is therefore unnecessary for the user. To use the Web Map Service, a user agreement with the VKV must be concluded. The following data can be provided: Digital overview map Lower Saxony 1: 5 000 000 = DÜKN5000 Digital overview map Lower Saxony 1: 2 000 000 = DÜKN2000 Digital overview map Lower Saxony 1: 1 000 000 = DÜKN1000 Digital overview map Lower Saxony 1: 500 000 = DÜKN500 Digital Topographic Map — Preliminary 1: 100 000 = DTK100-V Digital Topographic Map 1: 50 000 = DTK50 Digital Topographic Map 1: 25 000 = DTK25 Digital road map 1: 10 000 = DSK10 Official card 1: 5 000 = AK5 Official presentation graph 1: 2 500 = AP2.5 Digital orthophotos = DOP Prussian country reception 1: 25 000 = PL25 German base card 1: 5 000 = DGK5
