WFS Landscape Protection Area

Landscape protected areas are designated in accordance with Section 26 of the NatSchG for the conservation of the natural diversity, character and beauty of the landscape. Landscape protected areas also serve to preserve, develop or restore the performance of the natural budget as well as to preserve or improve the usability of natural assets. This instrument will also help to secure areas of particular importance for the recovery of the public and to define buffer zones for nature reserves. The lower nature protection authorities are responsible for the designation of landscape protected areas by ordinance. This means that geometries can no longer be represented or captured. The contested geometry errors include, among other things, self-intersections (self-intersections) or double support points.
