Dataset description

Display service of the digital terrain model grid width 1 000 m for the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany. For the uniform description of the relief of the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, digital terrain models (DGMs) of different quality levels will be built up as part of the ATKIS® project by the German Land Survey. The digital terrain model DGM1000 describes the terrain shapes of the earth’s surface by a number of points arranged in a regular grid, georeferenced in position and height.The grid width is 1 000 m. For the visualisation of the relief, the display service provides the following layers: Height information, Colormap, Relief, Schummerung 1 000 m
