WMS NW Digital Administrative Limits

The Digital Administrative Borders for the whole of NRW include the administrative boundaries of the country, the administrative districts, districts and district-free cities as well as municipalities derived from the basic DLM. The derivative takes place once a year at 01.10. and then corresponds to the continuation status of the base DLM. In case of significant changes, further updates will take place. The digital administrative boundaries are particularly suitable as a spatial reference for the construction of geo- and specialist information systems, as background information for overlay with subject-specific data as well as for computer-based processing of thematic maps. The service is based on the limits of the dataset DVG2, which contains about 10 % of the points of the DVG1 and has an accuracy of 50 m.
