WMS NW Flight Areas

Every year, the Geobasis NRW department conducts image flights in various image scales or ground resolutions for the production of orthophotos and for photogrammetric stereo evaluations. In order to be able to use this image material economically advantageously and thus also for others in a variety of ways, (until 2007 the State Survey Office NRW and in its successor) the district government of Cologne, Department Geobasis NRW provides proof of the image flights carried out in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia since 1962, which are important for the interests of state surveying, the real estate cadastre and comparable other disciplines. These image flights were carried out with the help of special image planes for capturing aerial images as vertical images. The image flight certificate is issued annually and consists of overviews showing the location of the flying regions and overviews with pixel points as well as a supplementary directory with general and technical information, which can be seen as factual data from 1998 onwards.
