Dataset description

Web Map Service (WMS) of mapping known and published soil monuments in the field of FHH. Selection criterion: 1.) entry in the list of monuments of the FHH; 2.) Objects are visible above day and recognizable as a monument. Mapping of known archaeological protected areas — monuments/soil monuments — the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg according to the Hamburg Monument Protection Act of 5 April 2013 and — Kulturdenkmale/Bodenkmale — the district of Harburg according to the Lower Saxony Monument Protection Act of 26 May 2011. The legal protection does not depend on the mapping or entry in a list. The number of protected areas actually in place is higher. Objects or areas that are not listed in the mapping or list are also protected if, for the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, they meet the criteria laid down in Section 4(5) of the HmbDSchG and for the territory of the Land of Lower Saxony the criteria laid down in Paragraph 3(4) to (5) of the NDSchG. For all projects, the area of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg is required under Sections 9(1) and 14(1) to (2) of the HmbDSchG for early participation of the landmark maintenance or for the territory of the district of Harburg in Lower Saxony pursuant to Paragraphs 10(1), 12(1), 13(1) and 24(1) to (3) NDSchG of the Lower Monument Protection Authority of the district of Harburg or the cities of Winsen (Luhe) and Buchholz in Nordheide. Important note: Monument protection is not uniform in Germany, but is regulated in a country-specific manner. In this respect, this information or associated resources only applies to the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the district of Harburg in Lower Saxony and not beyond!
