Dataset description

The ATOM Feed Download Service for the Wuppertal Park and Ride facilities provides a dataset for download, which includes the 13 Park and Ride facilities in Wuppertal’s urban area, including the city-related outdoor area (as of 01/2020). These facilities have been set up as part of the implementation of the Wuppertal parking concept at railway stations and some suspended stations and bus stops. The data are kept by the responsible specialist department “Road and Transport Planning” of the department 104 “Roads and Transport” with a specialised procedure within the Wuppertal navigation and data management system Wunda and, if necessary, updated in a timely manner. (Wunda is a cross-thematic, web-based geoinformation system on the intranet of the city of Wuppertal.) The Park and Ride facilities are subject to rare changes. The geographical location of these land-based installations is simplified by points. In addition to the location coordinates for each attachment, the data set includes some descriptive attributes including a hyperlink to a photo of the installation. The ESRI shape files, KML and GeoJSON files that the download service accesses as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
