Dataset description

The ATOM Feed Download Service for Tempo-30 Zones (signposting) in Wuppertal provides a dataset for download, which includes the point-shaped signage locations of the 164 Tempo-30 zones in the Wuppertal city area. It was produced between 08/2008 and 09/2008 by the “Roads and Transport” department in a concerted action by digitising the existing analog files and plans, in particular the traffic regulations. The attribute “name” contains a typing of the signs that mark the Tempo-30 zones (“1”: Beginning of a zone, “2”: End of a zone, “3”: double-sided shield beginning/end of a zone). The Digital Basic Map DGK was used as a map for the digitisation of signage sites. The data base is subject to very rare changes, as the potential areas for the designation of tempo 30 zones have been exhausted for several years. Changes to the Tempo 30 zones and the associated signage will be initiated by the Roads and Transport Department, which promptly informs the data-leading department of surveying, cadastral office and spatial data. There, the dataset is updated with a geoinformation system. Since the beginning of 2016, the official base card ABK has been used as a digitalisation basis. The ESRI shape files, KML and GeoJSON files that the download service accesses as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
