Yield potential, proximity to nature and water balance potential (ST-BIS-26)

The digital map “Soil function assessment based on soil estimation” shows the functional fulfilment of natural soil fertility (yield potential), the assessment of the site for natural vegetation (close to nature) of agricultural soils and the functional fulfilment of the soils of the Land of Saxony-Anhalt as part of the natural budget, in particular with its water and nutrient cycles for the subfunction water cycles based on the soil estimation results. The water balance potential was created using the class mark and the link to kf-value levels of the respective soil species via the arable/grass estimation framework. The kf-levels are based on the ground-documental carting instructions (KA4). The soil type determined from the class sign of the soil estimate is shown separately. The performance of the functions is evaluated in five stages for the three sub-functions (from very high (5) to very low (1)). ST-BIS 26 is part of ST-BIS 98.
