Dataset description

The data set includes the approximately 100,000 parcels of the real estate cadastre in the urban area of Wuppertal. They are continuously updated by the competent cadastral authority (city of Wuppertal, department 102 surveying, cadastral office and spatial data) as part of the management of the real estate register in the specialist procedure “Official Property Register Information System (ALKIS)”. The parcel is the smallest area-shaped booking unit of the real estate register. The Land Register, Germany’s public register for proof of rights to land, refers to these plots for the spatial delimitation of the land. (A plot of land consists of one or more parcels.) A parcel is defined geometrically by the official surveying system by its boundary point coordinates and designated by a nationally unique natural key, the parcel mark. For each parcel, the data set includes this landmark (FLURSTUECK attribute) and the parcel geometry, the polygon from the coordinates of the border points, the official parcel area (AMTLICHEFL) as well as all the components of the parcel code as determined by the cadastral authority, namely the area code (number in GEMNR, designation in GEMNAME), the landfill (FLUR), the parcel counter (FLURSTZ) and the parcel nomenclature (FLURSTN). According to state law, the data set is under the Open Data license “Data License Germany — Zero — Version 2.0 (dl-zero-de/2.0)”.
