*Short description The quarterly earnings survey determines paid hours of work and effective gross earnings per employee and hour in the quarters of a calendar year. Annual results are then calculated from the quarterly data. The current quarterly data on effective earnings and paid weekly working hours are mainly used for ongoing economic observation and thus form an important basis for financial, economic and social policy decisions as well as for the clarification of wage and tariff policy issues. The quarterly earnings survey is carried out as a representative sample survey of the holdings of the sectors involved. Evaluations are available up to the state level. The quality report provides information on methods and definitions as well as the quality of the results of a statistics.
