Base surfaces Outdoor photovoltaics

The State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection NRW (LANUV NRW) operates the solar cadastre NRW in the specialist information system Energieatlas NRW. For the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia, the base areas that are generally eligible under the Renewable Energies Act 2023 for a tender under EEG2023 §37 for open-plan solar installations (www.solarkataster.nrw.de) are presented here. No parts have yet been removed from these areas by exclusion areas. Unlike the old EEG, the backdrop is divided into areas for “normal” open-plan solar installations (EEG2023 §37(1) sentence 2), such as on the edges of motorway and rail tracks, heaps and landfills and agricultural land in disadvantaged areas, and “special” open-area solar installations (EEG2023 §37(1) sentence 3), such as on a roofing over parking lots or as agri-photovoltaics on agricultural arable and grassland areas outside the disadvantaged areas. Data bases are the ATKIS-BASIS-DLM as well as the backdrop of disadvantaged areas.
