Dataset description

A biotope in the sense of this biotope mapping is an area clearly defined in the terrain with a relatively uniform vegetation and/or utilisation structure. An area or also a landscape component can be assessed by biotope mapping in its importance for the natural budget. If a complete selected area is recorded, it is a comprehensive biotope mapping (FFH areas, large protected areas). In selective biotope mapping, only certain landscape components that are particularly relevant to nature conservation are included (protected biotopes and FFH habitat types pursuant to § 30 BNatSchG and § 18 BbgNatSchAG). A defined biotope type catalogue is the basis for the assignment of the individual biotope types. Furthermore, carting instructions and biotoptpyene descriptions support mapping (see the State Environment Agency Brandenburg 2004 and 2007: Biotope mapping Brandenburg Volume 1 and Volume 2). The present database is composed as follows: — Biotope and FFH LRT mapping in FFH areas (2001-2011); any updates in the framework of the FFH management planning (2001-2020) — second passage of selective biotope mapping outside of large protected areas and FFH areas (protected biotopes and FFH habitat types according to § 30 BNatSchG and § 18 BbgNatSchAG) — not yet available for all districts (from 2007, closure expected in 2016) — Biotope mapping in large protected areas within the framework of nursing and development planning (1993-running) Watch out! This database contains spatial data (shape files) with selected material data from the biotope and FFH LRT mapping. For older data collected using a different method, individual entries may differ from the current reference lists. Biotope and FFH habitat type mapping data are usually collected according to the Brandenburg biotope mapping method in the BBK database (access application), which contains much more detailed information, especially when applying the highest mapping intensity C. Responsible for the publication of BBK data for further use (fully recorded in the BBK programme/record sheets, among others with vegetation lists): FR. Summer houses (LfU, Unit N3) Status of the data: 24.02.2022 PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME AREAS ARE CURRENTLY BEING PROCESSED AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE DOWNLOAD, MAP APPLICATION AND WMS/WFS.
