Dataset description

This API can be used to queue an hourly total occupancy forecast for the Park-and-Ride-Parkplatz Lochhausen Nord, Lochhausener Str. 215, 81249 Munich. The forecast period extends from the present day to the second following day (three days in total). Within one day, only times can be chosen between 7:00 and 18:59, as no valid data is available for the remaining periods. Within one hour (i.e. from minute 0 to minute 59), the forecast value remains constant. The forecast is determined using an artificial neural network based on historical occupancy data (representative samples from 2014-2019) as well as historical and continuously updated data on relevant factors (date, time, weekday, holiday, school holidays, major event and weather). In order to estimate the uncertainty of the forecast, in addition to the expected value, a minimum and maximum value is given, both resulting from the confidence interval, which was determined with a probability of error of 5 % (i.e.: in 95 % of all cases, the actual value is between the minimum and maximum forecast value). However, since major deviations due to exceptional events or situations (e.g. lockdown during pandemic) are possible in individual cases, the accuracy of the forecast cannot be guaranteed.
