The data set provided on the number of places in child day care and the number of day caregivers per youth welfare office in NRW is based on the grant applications of the Youth Offices for State funds/child day care packages under the Children’s Education Act (KiBiz). The data set includes the places communicated on 15.03. of a year for all children who are to be supported by the KiBiz until their entry into school, and the day caregivers working in the respective youth welfare district for the following year of kindergarten. Due to different counting methods and deadlines, comparable youth welfare statistics may lead to deviations in the figures.
