Dataset description

Aquifers of major aquifers as a specialist layer of the digital hydrogeological map 1:100 000. It is recommended to display together with the separate shelf layers groundwater stockworks and bases for the construction of the groundwater equals. Zoom limit min 1:200 000 to max. 1:50 000. Groundwater equals are lines of equal heights of a groundwater surface or groundwater pressure area. The dHK100 was created between 2000 and 2015 (planning region 14 Munich to 2019) according to planning regions. The basis for the creation of the groundwater balance is the knowledge of groundwater levels in boreholes, wells, groundwater measuring stations and springs, as well as of above-ground waters, which are interpolated at lines of equal height, taking into account hydrogeological and hydraulic conditions. Inaccuracies in the design of groundwater equilibrium result in particular from the uneven distribution of the digestion points. There is no systematic update of the dHK100. Due to the planning region’s processing over longer periods of time, geometric and attributive inconsistencies can occur along the planning region boundaries. These are due to different basic data from which the groundwater equals are derived. Geometries and legend units are designed for an overview scale 1:100 000 (1 cm on a map correspond to 1 km in nature) and are generally generalised. The dHK100 or HK100 is intended as a basis for large-scale considerations. It does not replace detailed examinations and assessments by a specialist office in the planning of local projects. Scale-related accuracy does not change due to the scale-independent visualisation possibilities of digital map works. For further interpretations that combine or intersect the map work with other spatial data sets, it should be noted that an intersection of spatial data of greatly different resolution or target scales or different type of attribuing can lead to implausible or difficult to interpret results.
