Dataset description
The Digital Landscape Model 250,000 (DLM250) describes the topographic objects of the landscape and the relief of the earth surface of the Federal Republic of Germany in vector format. This database is available for download and online use via geodata services free of charge. The scope of information of the DLM250 is based on the content of the topographic map 1: 250 000. The object type acquisition corresponds to the ATKIS object type catalog DLM250. The digital landscape models of the federal states (ATKIS Basis-DLM) and the digital topographic map 1:50,000 (DTK50) are used to update the database. The DLM250 is suitable, among other things, as a basis for spatial planning, as a cartographic basis for the operational planning of security and rescue personnel or for the derivation of own tailor-made cartographic representations.
