Dataset description

Digital orthophotos are digitally equalised aerial images and represent all air-visible objects and facts at the time of recording in parallel perspective. They have a high density of information on ecological, phenological, geographical and other topics. The aerial photographs, as the basis of the DOP100g (1953), were flown in the then Soviet occupation zone in the summer of 1953 for the purpose of updating topographic maps and evaluating repair services. The data of the aerial images were subsequently processed radiometrically, so that the orthophotos look more evenly. However, this can also lead to differences in the transitions of the composite images. The flight scale is 1: 22 000, the output scale is 1: 10 000. The ground resolution or pixel size is 1.00 m x 1.00 m (254 dpi = 100 L/cm). Delivery in grey scale, cut-free or 10 km x 10 km tiles; ETRS89 (GRS80, UTM image) or transformation into other reference systems possible. Data delivery via the geobroker is free from sheet cutting. If the size of the area exceeds 10 km in one direction, the total area is divided into 10 km x 10 km tiles. The data is provided free of charge via automated procedures or by self-collection. When using the data, the license conditions must be observed.
