Dataset description

On the digital overview map of Lower Saxony in scale 1: 1 000 000 is depicted in the Northwest German region up to the Netherlands. The cornerstones are the cities of Heide (Schleswig-Holstein), Bad Doberan (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), Naumburg (Saxony-Anhalt), Neuss (North Rhine-Westphalia), Groningen (Netherlands). The federal state of Lower Saxony, as well as Hamburg and Bremen, are presented in full. Parts of neighbouring countries with the cities of Lübeck, Schwerin, Magdeburg, Kassel and the Ruhr area are also located within the area shown. Settlement, water and transport structures are clearly highlighted. The natural structure can be seen. This makes the map suitable for national orientation, planning and research. Larger natural areas, settlement areas, rivers, water areas and canals are given names. All Lower Saxony towns and municipalities are shown on the map. For velvet parishes, the municipality with its administrative seat is registered. The size of the local lettering indicates the number of inhabitants. In the structure, the content elements are divided into layers, these single layers are also offered individually.More information: http://www.lgn.niedersachsen.de/live/live.php?&navigation_id=11011&article_id=51657&_psmand=35
