Dataset description

(1) The boundaries of the National Park are derived from the attached map, which is part of this law: 1. Digital topographic map (DTK) in scale 1: 100 000 (Annex 2), 2. Reduced Official Card 1: 5 000 (AK5) in scale 1: 10 000 (Annex 3). The geographical coordinates of Appendices 2 and 3 are shown in the geodetic reference system WGS 84 and as projected coordinates in the European Terrestrial Reference System 1989 (ETRS 89) with the Universal Transversal Mercator image relative to Zone 32 N (UTM 32N) (Annex 4); The same applies to the geographical coordinates in Appendices 1 and 6. 3The areas enclosed by the national park area, which are not assigned to any of the zones referred to in § 5(1), are not part of the national park. (2) For the delimitation of the national park, the connecting line between the points registered in Appendix 2, determined by geographical coordinates, shall be determined by the ems, Weser and Elbe esters and in the Jade, unless the Lower Saxon border or a guideway runs between two coordinate points in the Elbe and Weser estuaries; in this case, the border is formed by the national border or the side of the tailgate. (3) The national boundaries of the national park are shown in Annexes 2 and 3 by point lines. 2The middle flood line is decisive for the boundary sections marked by an interrupted point line in Appendices 2 and 3. 3On the sections marked by a red point line in Appendices 2 and 3, the sea-side boundary of the dyke (Section 4(3) of the Lower Saxony Dike Act) is decisive. 4For the course of the limits indicated in Appendices 2 and 3 by a black non-interrupted point line, the map is decisive. 5Insofar as the sea-side boundary of the dyke forms the border of the national park according to the third sentence, this border changes with the authorised changes of the existing dike. 6In this case, the Ministry responsible for nature conservation shall, where necessary, re-announce Annexes 2 and 3. The dataset provides the boundaries as vectors. The GIS data can be downloaded under the “Facts” section.
