Dataset description

The data set contains the operations of the fire brigade in Düsseldorf divided by fire categories since 2015. At the Düsseldorf Fire Department, small, medium and large fires are recorded: Small fires are the most common fires. Here a distinction is made between Kleinbrand a and b. In a small fire a is usually a small extinguisher such as fire extinguisher or bucket syringe used. No more than one C-pipe is required for the deletion of a small fire b. Fires of smaller expansion include, for example, car fires or burning garbage bins. Examples of medium-sized fires are residential fires, larger car fires or building fires. Here, the fire brigade usually moves out with one, less often with two extinguishers. No more than 3 C pipes and no special pipes such as B pipes or foam jet tubes are used. For large fires, more than 3 C pipes and/or special pipes are used. Several fire extinguishers or fire brigades may be required for a longer period of time. Civil protection units may also be used to support them. Major fires include, for example, fires of large objects, industrial enterprises, agricultural estates as well as land and forest fires. The “Brand Categories since 2015” file contains the following column information: Year: Year of survey Small fires A: Number of small fires A Small fires B: Number of small fires B Medium fires: Number of medium-sized fires Large fires: Number of large fires Üh (Medium fires): Number of local assistance from the Düsseldorf fire brigade in the event of fires
