Dataset description

As part of the mFUND VISION project, flight movements in the Aachen area were recorded using an ADS-B transponder. This data is anonymised on the project homepage, i.e. without the aircraft identification marks. The notes contain the following information for each timestamp (secondary) for all detected transponders: Hex: Hexadecimal ICAO 24-bit identifier (anonymised) Fashion: Transponder type (Mode S) Sqwk: Squawk transponder code (anonymised) Flight: Aircraft registration (anonymised) SPD: Speed, km/h HDG: Magnetic heading, deg Lat/Lon: Latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates, deg h_AGL_raw: QNE — Height above groud level (Barometric altitude), m h_AGL_pres: QNH — Height above ground level (corrected Barometric altitude), m h_AGL_QFF: QFF — Height above ground level (corrected Barometric altitude), m h_AGL_gnss: Height above ground level (based on GNSS), m RSSI: Received signal strength indication, dBFS Msgs: Number of received messages Ti: Age of the last update of the trajectory intent (Ti) information, s Delta: Debug data (h_AGL_gnss — h_AGL_QFF), m The various machine-readable notes are summarised in a.zip archive after recording days.
