Green roof potential cadastre Wuppertal 2022

The data set includes a tabular representation of all Wuppertal buildings and objects whose roofs are economically suitable for use in green roofs. For this purpose, the well-suited, the suitable and the conditionally suitable roof area in m² is indicated. Buildings or objects with completely unsuitable roof surfaces are not included in the data set. The data set was derived by tetraeder.solar GmbH in September 2022 from the results of a model calculation of the Wuppertal roof area solar potential directly carried out on behalf of the City of Wuppertal. The data for the digital roof surface and irradiation model used were the result data of a laser scan flight of the Wuppertal city area by the state of NRW mainly in December 2020, for the smaller part also in 2021. The dataset therefore makes no statements regarding buildings or objects that were built after this date. Through the service provider tetraeder.solar GmbH, the city of Wuppertal operates the map-based, interactive online information “Gründachkataster Wuppertal” (https://www.solare-stadt.de/wuppertal/) with an assistant module for the analysis of the costs as well as the economic and ecological effects of roof greening. The record is provided in CSV and XLSX formats as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license.
