Dataset description
In the climate analysis NRW, the climatic situation is comprehensively recorded in NRW, as well as the (thermally) polluted settlement areas (=active spaces) are identified and demarcated and evaluated from corresponding compensatory areas. The map shows the climate tops (= microclimatically uniform spatial units) according to VDI directive 3787, sheet 1. The climate tops were automatically derived from the land use, the construction and the degree of sealing. Climate tops provide indications in which areas of nocturnal overheating may occur during autochthonous weather conditions.
