Dataset description

Dissemination of the aquifers of the Buntsandstein as a specialist player on the hydrogeological map 1: 500 000. It is recommended to display together with the separate specialist players of relevant aquifers. Zoom restriction min. 1: 1 000 000 to max. 1: 200 000. Aquifers are lines of the same heights of a groundwater surface or pressure. Groundwater equals shall be established on the basis of knowledge of groundwater levels in drilling, wells, groundwater monitoring stations and sources and in surface waters interpolated to lines of the same height, taking into account hydrogeological and hydraulic conditions. In addition, existing groundwater equalisation plans were taken into account when drawing up the plan (see explanations on Bavaria’s hydrogeological map 1: 500 000, Fig. 6-2 and Table 6-1). Inaccuracies in the construction of groundwater equals result, in particular, from the uneven distribution of the discharge points. Geometries and laying units are designed for viewing scale 1: 500 000 (1 cm on a map corresponds to 5 km in nature) and are generally highly generalised. HK 500 is intended as the basis for more extensive consideration, and it does not in any way replace detailed studies and assessments by a specialist office in the planning of local projects.
