Dataset description

In this open data record, you will receive part of the raw data of the interim report “Inventory Analysis Masterplan Mobility Münster 2035+” in machine-readable format as CSV file as well as Excel file. Content information on the data Various tables and visualisations of the inventory analysis were created from the raw data provided here. The following information is included in the files (per district): Modal Split (Internal Transport) Road frequency and time budget Availability of means of transport “Modal Split” is the English term for choice of means of transport. This includes the percentage of the individual means of transport in the daily routes and/or daily traffic performance. “Inland transport” means traffic whose start and destination lies within the city area of Münster, in contrast to source and destination traffic beyond the city boundaries. Inland transport, routes are more frequent by bike and foot than in regional transport. However, regional transport (“non-inland transport”) has a significant impact on the overall modal split due to its size (approximately 360,000 passenger routes per day). This data comes from the mobility survey, which was carried out in November 2019 as a cross-sectional survey on the daily traffic behaviour of the Münster population. More detailed information about each column can be found on the download page of the CSV file (if you click on the title of the CSV file below). Information about the files and file formats The following file formats are available for download on this page: The CSV file is optimised for programmatic evaluation and contains one feature per column and one district per line. The Excel file contains a more visual access to the data: A single spreadsheet houses several tables for the individual districts and districts. You can also find below the interim report “Inventory analysis Masterplan Mobility Münster 2035+” as PDF file for download. The document provides further background information on the data provided. In addition, visualisations of data from page 115 can be found in the chapter “Masterplan Mobility Münster 2035± Supplementary evaluations for the mobility survey”.
