Dataset description
The dataset based on grid data assesses the natural erosion hazard of soils. Methodologically, the evaluation of the “natural erosion hazard” of DIN 19708:2017-07 corresponds. Specially prepared soil estimation data are used to derive the erodibility of the upper soil (K-factor). Where these are not available, data from agricultural site exploration are used. If both data are not available, the BK50 is used. For the derivation of the slope inclination factor (S-factor), the digital terrain model 10 of Geobasis NRW is used for the derivation of rain erosivity (R-factor) the regression equation published in DIN is used. Input data are monthly precipitation data from the Climate Atlas NRW. The data is linked and evaluated according to DIN.
