Dataset description

Reference scale for the presentations of the landscape program: 1:20.000 Timeliness of the database: Landscape programme Hamburg as amended in July 1997, including the 1-159th amendment, the 1st to 25th Corrigendum and Updated Adjustments — Status 01/2022 — including adjustments due to contour matching (construction/free areas) with the land use plan in September 2014; The Landscape Program with the Map of Species and Biotope Protection defines the objectives and principles of nature conservation and landscape conservation for Hamburg. It was adopted by citizenship on 12 June 12.6.1997. The legal basis is the Federal Nature Conservation Act and the Hamburg Law on the Implementation of the Federal Nature Conservation Act. The landscape program ensures important landscape components, valuable animal and plant species as well as their habitats and preserves the diversity, peculiarity and beauty as well as the recreational value of nature and landscape. With the protection of Hamburg’s cultural landscapes, natural resources soil, water and air as well as the safeguarding of open spaces, the quality of life of the inhabitants is to be maintained or improved. Climate change mitigation and adaptation, the supply of green spaces and the quality of green areas are also important topics in the landscape programme. In addition to the land use plan, the landscape programme is a key control tool for land-use-relevant overall hamburg interests. The landscape programme is binding on politics and administration. Its objectives and contents must be taken into account in the overall urban development planning. However, citizens cannot derive a legal claim from the landscape program. The contents of the landscape programme are developed and presented for three thematic areas: Recreation/Landscape — Urban climate/Nature budget and species and biotope protection (i.e. map of species and biotope protection of the landscape programme). The original sources from the data set “species and biotope protection — Aubs (formerly APRO)” are used for the protected area information. For more information on these data, please refer to the corresponding dataset description. The area-related planning contents of the landscape program are presented in different planning categories, so-called ‘Milieus’. The milieu is the central area-based planning category, covering the use, structure and development goal of the respective area unit. There are special development goals for each environment. In a second level of presentation, the so-called ‘cross-milieu functions’, targets from the above-mentioned focus areas of the landscape programme are presented, which cannot be integrated into the milieu level. The landscape programme can be modified or updated through formal change procedures through which citizenship decides. The content of the landscape programme is always presented in accordance with the planning objectives of the land use plan. The landscape program consists of a 1:20,000 scale (6 sheets) plan and a detailed explanatory report. Last reprint of the 1:50,000 scale landscape program and 1:20,000 (6 sheets) — April 2013 Notes: The spatial data is provided as a WMS representation service and as a WFS download service. Download the entire file currently only as a gml file.
