Dataset description

The map “Landschaftprogramm Hamburg/Freiraumverbund” is part of the landscape program. Note: The “Free Space Network System of the Landscape Program” is derived from the data set of the current landscape program. The boundaries between landscape axes, green rings and other elements of the open space network thus correspond to the presentation in the landscape program. An update takes place once a quarter. The map describes the main development goals of the Freiraumverbund for the city landscape of Hamburg: A green network of landscape axes, 2 green rings, wider green trains and narrower green connections linking parks, play and sports areas, small garden and cemeteries. Thus, it should be possible to move undisturbed from road traffic on foot and cycle paths in greenery within the city and to the free landscape on the outskirts of the city. The exact course and the delimitation of the 2. Green Rings were developed only after the adoption of the Landscape Programme as a Thematic Development Plan. The 2nd The green ring runs about 8-10 km from the Hamburg City Hall in a length of about 90 km between inner and outer city. It covers green and open spaces of a wide variety of species: public green spaces, such as parks, small garden parks, forest and agriculturally shaped cultural landscapes of the march. The landscape axes are extensively contiguous green and open spaces that extend between the settlement areas from the surrounding countryside to the city centre. Its location is mainly determined by the still preserved natural structures of Hamburg: The watercourses with accompanying green trains (e.g. Elbe axis, Alster axis, wall-mounted axis), field marks with arable and grassland use and forests (e.g. Eimsbüttel axis, Volkspark axis), the marshes with vegetable and flower crops in the Elbmarschen axis, the fruit growing area in the southern Elderbe/Moorg Belt axis. On the outskirts of the city, the landscape axes consist of large-area agricultural areas, forests and nature reserves, which are of great importance as urban recreation areas. The extensive landscapes on the outskirts of the city include greenery, which consist of parks, small gardens, cemeteries and sports areas. The further the landscape axes enter the densely built city, the narrower and more incomplete they become. The important planning objective is therefore to close the remaining gaps in the landscape axes The data is provided as a WMS representation service and as a WFS download service.
