Welcome to the Bios2 reporting website of the Flemish library sector. This website was developed at the initiative of the Flemish government in cooperation with the then VCOB. All subsidised libraries enter annually relevant data into a web application that is at the basis of this reporting tool, either themselves or through the provincial library systems. It has indeed become a tool, a tool to get started with the statistical data of 309 libraries.

Operation and development of APIs are currently fully funded by company Apitalks and its usage is for free.

All important information such as time of last update, license and other information are in response of each API call.

In case of major update that would not be compatible with previous version of API, we keep for 30 days both versions so you will have enough time to transfer to new version. We will inform you about the changes in advance by e-mail.
