Dataset description

Horizontal map representation of the entire quaternary as a layer of covered sequence; is available in special sheet section for North, Central and Eastern Axis; each sheet consists of 3 to 7 horizontal maps and is sometimes supplemented by cut sheets. A unit sheet of the LKQ 50 includes the following representations: 2-9 Horizontal maps showing all proven quaternary horizons 1 map without quarter with representation of the quaternary base 1-3 sheets with geological cuts a legend a documentation map (name and location of all used documentation punks of a sheet). The following leaves are available: 2465 Bitterfeld, 2466 Eilenburg, 2467 Bad Liebenwerda, 2469 Hoyerswerda, 2470 Weißwasser, 2565 Leipzig, 2566 Wurzen, 2567 Riesa, 2568 Großenhain, 2569 Kamenz, 2570 Niesky, 2665 Zeitz, 2666 Mittweida, 2667 Meissen, 2668 Dresden, 2669 Bautzen, 2670 Görlitz, 2766 Chemnitz, 2769 Pirna and 2770 Zittau. Together with the digitally available map book ‘Lithofazieskarten Tertiär Nordwestsachsen’ (LKT 50) and ‘Maps of the glacially covered areas of Saxony’ (GK 50), a uniform geoscientific map work is available for the entire Northwestern Saxon region. Special sheet cutting; Leaf cuts extend to adjacent regions of the federal states of Brandenburg, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt.
