Noise statistics for main routes The Federal Railway Office provides a result of noise mapping — noise statistics — not only in the map service, but also a summary of the data prepared by federal states. In addition to this, the table contains information on the municipal noise indicator. The table contains — broken down by federal state — noise statistics and the noise indicator by municipalities within the mapping scope along the main railway lines of the federal government for the noise indices Day-Even Night Noise Index (LDEN) and Night Noise Index (LNIGHT). Noise statistics provide information on the inhabitants affected by noise, the polluted area and the estimated number of apartments, school and hospital buildings in the corresponding levels. The noise indicator describes the noise situation in relation to the noise level and the inhabitants affected by it.
